United Biscuits – a successful campaign and a referral! - May '06

Our multi-media campaign (local/regional press and microsite) for 17 engineers to work at McVitie’s Harlesden factory has now reached a successful conclusion.

The microsite received over 4,000 visitors and 347 applications. Online filtering reduced this number to 191 and O’Connor conducted competency-based interviews and invited successful candidates to a series of Assessment Centres.

All 17 positions have been filled, with a contingency of suitable applicants for any future requirement. The combination of press advertising, dedicated campaign microsite and O’Connor’s response handling saved thousands of pounds for McVitie’s by avoiding the (expensive) route of agency recruitment.

McVitie’s was delighted with the results and recommended us to KP who had a similar requirement for engineers at their Ashby-de-la-Zouche site. The KP campaign has also been successfully completed.
