Tarmac - graduate campaign - May '06
Following the launch last autumn of Gradlife – Tarmac’s new graduate recruitment brand – interest from graduates across the UK and Europe has been tremendous. Gradlife consists of a brochure, advertisements, and a comprehensive microsite where candidates can find out all about the programme and apply online.
Behind the microsite, we’ve developed an integrated Candidate Management System where applicant data is tracked, monitored and filtered, before being screened against Tarmac’s competency framework.
The quality of each applicant has been a vast improvement on previous years. Unsuitable candidates are filtering themselves out and more suitable people are applying.
Again, O’Connor has conducted competency-based telephone interviews and Tarmac has held Assessment Centres – and they have been very pleased with the results so far.
Tarmac’s Emerging Talent Manager, Lisa Grainger, told us:
“We are very pleased with the results this year. Following our restructure in 2005, we wouldn’t have had the resource to handle the Grad campaign the way we had in previous years.
O’Connor has relaunched the programme and handled the whole campaign for us this year and we’ve seen an improvement in the calibre of candidate already.”
